CS:GO VAC error, Steam Repair tool not working
I keep getting an error from CS:GO saying: "An issue with your computer is blocking the VAC system. You cannot play on secure servers."
I run through the steam page on how to fix this, use the run command to
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\bin\SteamService.exe" /repair"

This brings up a steam client service box and it never resolves itself.

Need help thanks.

Ps. Running Comodo firewall & Avast antivirus.

Further more;
The bcdedit commands listed below do not work because the files are not there.

bcdedit /deletevalue nointegritychecks
bcdedit /deletevalue loadoptions

bcdedit /debug off

bcdedit /deletevalue nx

bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx OptIn

Error message: "An error occurred while attempting to delete the spcified data element.
Element not found".

Well why don't you delete SteamUI.dll and Steam.dll. See if that helps. sometimes that helps fix the issue.

That made a difference and I was able to run the repair, not sure if the problem is resolved

Yes but does that mean the fix is to uninstall my firewall to play cs:go? sounds like a really poor way to go about it.

Since Windows ' own firewall does the job just fine and doesn't prevent programs from working, the fix is far from poor

Did you reboot and verify game cache ?

This isn't a fix.

First, have you found that its your firewall that actually causes the issue?
