Games closing to desktop or freezing????

I dont know much about "specs" and start up selections, so I need help figuring out how to fix my games closing file playing (not turning off, just going to the desktop) or freezing (my controller can't select anything and I have to try and get my mouse to close the window).....Please help the challanged?

I checked all my (three) antivirus scanners and two of them had it set to update whenever and something about sharing my details with avast networks so I unchecked those. Is "show all processes" in TM?

...um....sorry whats a UAC and OS? (again I'm completely in the derp about specs and details)

When I googled it there were allot of other people with the same issues but they knew everything about their computers and were exchanging answers with abreviations I didn't know so it wasnt much help to me.....=(

When the game minimizes, in the steam library it says next to the title that it is "syncing" but only for a few seconds then disappears and only happens when a game freezes or minimizes.

Wow 3 Antivirus programs?
You need just one because they are going to fight each other to make the same thing and make the pc go slower or even make strange things happen..

Yeah......I let someone use my laptop once and they tried downloading some GTAV cheat or something that almost destroyed my laptop. it took 3 hours and 3 anitvirus scans to fix it but I was never told to delete the others. I have Macafee, Avast, and CCleaner......

Well ccleaner is not a antivirus and it's ok to have it, it helps to clean junk from the pc and helps with registry but you still have 2 antivirus, so you have to uninstall macafee or avast.
If you have paid the year licence on mcafee or avast delete the other one.
You only need to have one and you really need to have it updated always.

Well mcafee isn't that bad the last years compared to how terrible it was on the past and I have avast but if he paid the one year sub or something I think it's worse to waste the money just because of personal preferences.

I just said he should use mcafee if he paid for it, nothing more, and I said too that I'm using avast, I've been using it I think that the last 4 or 5 years..

It probably has something to do with your graphics card, or your graphics drivers
