Random Garry's Mod workshop download, I dont even have the game installed...

I got it for the 2nd time today, first time it was 0 bytes just appeared in my downloads and went away when I restarted Steam. Now, I was playing Rocket League and quit the game and saw that there is this 17 kb garrys mod workshop download, I dont even have the game installed, never had it on this computer either.

I would say.. Go to the workshop-subscribed and uncheck all of your subscribed addons?

Uh... Ghosts... Couldn't say. Possibly someone remotely accessing your computer? Do a full antivirus scan and make sure you're clean. Otherwise... Weird.

Yeah I just unsubscribed all Gary's mod addons.

I't can't be, I take good care of my computer and steam account. Unless its a good hacker targeting me, its impossible that I got hacked or something? or is it?... thats actually the main reason I opened this thread :/ I got paranoid...

I wouldn't be that worried, it's super, super unlikely. I just didnt know why the downloads were going. If you take good enough care of your computer you'll be okay, and hackers don't normally target addons haha. Just do a normal antivirus scan anyway for the hell of it, it's healthy :)

It's likely. You said you unsubscribed to GMod addons, which means you must have been subscribed in the first place... Without having the game. The unsubbing should to the trick.

Wierd. Today I was about to play TF2 but then something started to download. I checked and it was Garry's Mod - Workshop Content which is crazy. I don't even have garrys mod.
