Got Scammed my CS GO Knife

Got Scammed my CS GO Knife

Ok so yesterday I got scammed of my new, first knife. The scammer told me to get a friend to hold it for me, then he stole my profile picture and username and traded my friend who had the knife and said that he wanted it back, so my friend though I want it back so he accepted.

I didn't know about this scam method until now. The scammer got trade banned on that account wich was probably a alt account. That is not enough, this scammer deserves a ip ban for gods ake.

Is there someone out there that knows how to track where this knife has gone, to wich account. Can you track his trades? Is there a way to get it back. Some of you might think now "It's just a knife, what ever" but this knife is my first, I got it from an Unbox and I was so damn happy of it. But now it's gone. If someone knows anything please tell me. I would be soooo pleased :(

Well, that's the internet for ya. Suck it up, buttercup. We all lose things that mean the most to us in life, and we just need to move on. You lost a DIGITAL. KNIFE. Get over it.

Should have been more careful. I would say report him and get him trade banned, but you've already done everything you need to do.

I know how you feel, I've been cautios over a year let my guard down today. Anyway lost 125$ USD, But I don't feel that bad :/ probably would've a year ago.

i lost today 40 € thx to 1 guy ho stole my knife :( just need to move on... and go work get money and maybe buy a new one

people are trying to steal knives all the time on steam. Those sucker are worth tons of money the best thing to do is never trust anybody and keep the knife in your inventory.
