No ♥♥♥♥, Sherlock... I know that, I'm just wondering if there's somebody in the Steam community know what to do... I mean, I'm sure I'm not the only one who had this problem...
Did you read the rest of the post? People here are trying to help you.
If you're simply going to insult those who are trying to help you then don't expect any
Indeed this is good advise krutopridumal. You could not find anything while using good AV, so now it's time to call in the experts at another forum or Support. This is not an Anti Malware forum, this forum is for Steam- & game-issues.
I see you have your Steam set in English, where do you think you might have picked up advertisements in Cirillian writing? The answer might be important for the AntiMalware Support or forum you ask for help, as well as for the Steam-devs to pick up on an exploitable whitin the Steam Browser. Plaese report back to Steam-Support what the ppl on the Anti Malware forum found.
Did you use anything from Uniblue, krutopridumal?
@ krutopridumal and everybody : Be carefull with Uniblue. Though they are a legit company and make fairly good software, they also advertise over the edge of agressiveness. When you see their ads on your comp, quite often you already are infected with what most other Cleaning-software-companies view as Adware. Stay away from their mostly advertised product "Speed up my PC", such software should be used only by experts (though real experts will use better software in that category).
For those who still think they need to start over : Format & re-install offline. Some Malware can be re-installed before Windows when you do that online. Mind you, back in '93 i already got one Virus that could not be formatted away at all, Malware has evolved a lot since then.
I got rickrolled via some pornsite... I know, that wasn't smart to click the link, but I was curious. It was sent by my friend. I was there for like a minute. I'm a Russian, that's why it's cyrillic. I'll ask for help on that website and post their answer later.
