WTF Why did steam just download a trojan ??!?
My Norton just stopped a download FROM STEAM downloading a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ trojan wtf is going on? I will post a screen show to prove it. The file was from c:/program files/steam/steamapps/downloading/333930/expasion/battleeye/beservice.exe

srsly streamwtf?

You may want to submit that to an online checker as it is more than likely a false positive!

Battleeye is a third-party program. It's on the borderline of being a trojan. It's not Steam, it's the developer of the game you're downloading.

I can't see the picture, but if it's a generic "Win32:Malware-gen" then it's a guess by the software as to what it is. It's not saying it's a specific item.

Upload the file to https://www.virustotal.com/ and see what it says on there. If it comes back with 2 or 3 out of 40 then it's a false positive....which it is.

i trust steam a million times more than I would trust a norton/symantec product.

Oh so the file name isn't really Trojan.adh.smh then? Norton just think's its named that? And is MSE a aint virus?
