Bought trading card not showing in inventory

Hi!
I've put up an request to buy a certain trading card last night. Today, when I woke up, email notified me that the card has been bought. After logging into Steam and searching my "endless" inventory, I found no trace of that card. Market history lists the transaction.
It is odd.
Did anybody encounter such problem? What to do, when something similiar happens next time?

You could try and contact steam support? This has never happened to me unfortunatly so thats all the advise I can give

try lising and removing a card from the market to re sync your inventory.
it works sometimes.

getting another item can also do the trick.

I've listed a random item on the market and the "hidden" card just showed up.
