Credit Card verification with the two transactions system

Hi,
I've recently used a new credit card to add some money to my Steam Wallet. Because this card wasn't never used before in the system, I was blocked in the use of the market until the 2nd of July. To avoid to wait all this time, I tried the verification system that take some money from the card in two transactions and to verify that you are the owner of the card you have to write the amount of these two transactions. I've done all, this system took the money, I found it out the two transactions, but now I haven't back these money, neither on my Steam Wallet or in my credit card. What I have to do? this is a serious thing, they took these money for the check but they don't give me them back now and this thing isn't wrote anywhere.

The money is not a real charge, they didn't take it. It is an "authorization". The charges will go away in a day or two depending on the bank.

So it is normal that I can't use these money for now but in the list of transactions of my credit card they are not showed? I had to go to ATM and ask for the list of operations to find out the two amount I was looking for

Banks set aside money for pending transactions. That is normal. Once the charge goes away the money is returned.

I'm dealing with the exact same problem, bothers me a lot. 3 days passed since I started the verification and the authorizations haven't showed up yet in my CC balance.

How did you find the authorisations on your credit card?

For some stupid reason, I enter the amounts and it says "You have already made the maximum number of verification attempts." I only tried one time how is that freaking possible?

Contact your bank and ask them. Depending on your bank, they may not show the authorizations, or if they do, they may be in a different location on your account.

Its stupid.. I'm 16 and I used my mums credit card (Which I have been using for a while) and now its asking me to verify it.. It took out £50 odd pound to be verified when my mum needs the money.. Now she is annoyed and thinks it some sort of scam >:( Extremely not happy with it taking out this amount when I only wanted £10 on steam. I got the £10 but didn't have to take out that much to be verified. She had £88 now only £20..
