Valiant Hearts doesn't launch

Hello guys

For some reason I can't access the discussions for the game itself. I have no idea why. Buying this game has been nerve-wrecking for me. It downloaded pretty fast but I cannot launch it.

I don't know where the problem lies, I reinstalled the game, Uplay and Steam twice. I don't think it's a problem with either Uplay or Steam because of reasons I apparently cannot state here.

So I basically have the problem that the game only launches for a few seconds and this is only visible through the taskmanager. The process ends itself after a few seconds, which gives me the "thank you for playing Valiant Hearts" message in Uplay.

I'm really at a loss since I've never encountered any problems with Steam. I'm pretty much a newb to Uplay since Valiant Hearts is the first Ubi game I play on a PC. So maybe I'm just overlooking something? Please help me, I want to play this game so bad.

My specs:

Intel Core i7-3820 @3.60GHz
16 GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD7950
Win 7 64bit

Oh well i thought i was the only one with this problem. I cant launch it too WtF StEAM :( i wanna play this game so bad and i tried it on 2 pc both did not work go straight to thanks for playing.

i tried to start up EVERY service and restart and try valiant hearts to launch apperently Skype updater OR LogMeIn Hamachi Tunneling Service causes this problem

Ok guys i'm sure it's Hamachi causing the issue here, so try to start up ALL services except Hamachi and see if it works

I updated now my issue-ticket on UbisoftSupport. They wanted to know about the DirectX Diagnostic Tool and the MSINFO for analysing the problem.

Now i'm waiting, if i know more, i will tell you.

Hey all,

Following this discussion, I had this issue too. Based on the tip of quitting both Skype (using the system tray -> exit) and a program called Hola (right click in system try -> Exit Hola) I was able to launch Valiant Hearts. It looks like the program is using some kind of connection to Ubisoft that is blocked with these kind of VPN software.

Hi,

I have the same problem. After I run the game I got "Thanks for playing" message.
I have try to stop lots of windows services, and I was able to run the game only when I turn off:
WlanSvc
Autokonfiguracja sieci WLAN (It Polish name; english would be: WLAN network autoconfiguration, or something like that)
C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe -k LocalSystemNetworkRestricted

This step shutdown my internet connection so uplay let You open game in offline mode.
After the game start, and swich back to desktop and turn on the service.
In game after I play Shfit+F2, I can see that uplay is working fine.

I'm using USB-Wifi adapter so if stoping this service in Your case could not help.
But the main idea is to go offline, run the game and then go online again.

Hope this workaround will work for You also.

@feaber my problem was LogMeIn Hamachi it seems like this problem is made because some internet settings everything that caused problem had to do with networks etc. it really sucks though. playing a game in offline mode.

@CreepieMen - I do not have Hamachi virtual interface; but I also got pretty mess up in network connections because of Windows Phone SDK which created me new network bridge with virtual interface.

Anyway; in my case workaround was to turn off internet connection, run the game in offline and then turn connection on. I already finished the game on 100%. All achievements are save in uplay.
