Valiant Hearts doesn't launch
Hello guys

For some reason I can't access the discussions for the game itself. I have no idea why. Buying this game has been nerve-wrecking for me. It downloaded pretty fast but I cannot launch it.

I don't know where the problem lies, I reinstalled the game, Uplay and Steam twice. I don't think it's a problem with either Uplay or Steam because of reasons I apparently cannot state here.

So I basically have the problem that the game only launches for a few seconds and this is only visible through the taskmanager. The process ends itself after a few seconds, which gives me the "thank you for playing Valiant Hearts" message in Uplay.

I'm really at a loss since I've never encountered any problems with Steam. I'm pretty much a newb to Uplay since Valiant Hearts is the first Ubi game I play on a PC. So maybe I'm just overlooking something? Please help me, I want to play this game so bad.

My specs:

Intel Core i7-3820 @3.60GHz
16 GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD7950
Win 7 64bit

Having this issue also.. Ubisoft just asked me to uninstall the game completely from my system and then either disable one my monitors or one of my graphic cards, as the game does not support dual monitors or crossfire graphic cards... well that didn't work either.. :(
As others have pointed out why does this game not have its own forum? Just drops me back to the store page...

Whenever I launch the game it does not start properly, if I look at my task manager there is a valian hearts process running and if I end that then Uplay appears and the game will start up again properly.

Ubisoft really need to fix this, as usual Uplay is an unwanted parasite on another game title. I bet without Uplay the game woul launch from steam without issue. :rshout:

edit: II have submitted a question on the Uplay site about this to ubisoft alogn with a screenshot and description outlining what happens. I have also pointed out their lack of any forum for the game on steam.

I've downloaded the game and it's inside of my library but when i try to launch the game it starts loading and just fades away. Even when i start the game as an admin it doesn't work. I've tried to delete the game and re installing it but it's still the same.
I tried to use my product code in Uplay but the Uplay servers are as always down "for the moment" so i can't find out if the problem is inside of Uplay.

Please respond!
I've been waiting for a WW1 game for such a long time now and when it finally arrives it doesn't LAUNCH!
Pre-Purchased this game :P and it doesn't work for me i got it working 1 time after trying 10000 times to launch thought it was fixed but next time i tried to launch again the same problem :/

my ticket get responded REALLY late XD 5 days no answer :/
I've heard back from Ubisoft. They said I had to reinstall Uplay as well as the game in Safe Mode and as administrator. Which is really stupid, since you can't install a steam game as administrator. Needless to say, didn't work either.
Finally Ubisoft Support found a solution for me that helped. I send them DXDIAG and MsInfo and they gave me list of programms I had to deactivate from autostart (via msconfig). In my case the list was: Sidebar, Steam, Google Update, Akamai NetSession Interface, Pando Media Booster, GoogleToolbarNotifier, WISO Mein Steuer-Sparbuch, Hola!.

So bottom line that was what helped for some reason. Maybe if you have some of these programms running in autostart. If not I can only encourage you to turn to Ubisoft Support. They may help you after all.

I hope you will all find a way to play the game!

So... What? You had to uninstall steam to play a game from steam? O.o I have none of those programs (well, except for steam). Still the same problem.

He means you have to go to MSConfig and Uncheck all those programms, they won't startup when you start your pc
http://i.imgur.com/58LcHOy.png - search it on the search bar

http://i.imgur.com/WBVnbAE.png - go to services and uncheck those programs,

haven't restarted my pc yet so can't say it works YET!!!
Didn't do it for me, sadly.
SUCCES it worked for me it's indeed a problem with those Services in MSConfig i think
UPlay also send me the same message like our friend here above...
NOW!!! Lets figure out what service doesn't work :D:
it loaded for 1 min... can i call that progress?
