How to upgrade Deus EX HR to Directors Cut?
I'm currently re-downloading the base game & would like to get the Directors Cut content.. apologies if it's obvious, but I can't see any option to do this without rebuying/downloading the Directors Cut edition.

They are seperate games.

That doesn't make any sense (unless of course it's the cynical buisness kind) are you telling me there's no way to add the content to the base game.. early adopters are seriously supposed to buy two copies if they want the Directors Cut bells & whistles? that's how loyal fans/supporters are treated.. as much as I'd like the extra content there's no way on God's green earth I'll ever stump up the cash twice.. sale or no sale

SE will give you discount for -50% if you already have original one.
75% off if you have original one and the missing link.
(It seems not work during summer sale)

Btw, Bethesda give you nohting for skyrim legendary edtion even if you have skyrim.

You have to buy the upgrade from the store page if you own the original version. It is discounted for owners of the regular version though.

That's exactly what I'm tellin' ya. I found that out when I purchased it. It has its own set of achievements too.

Edit: I love the game though so I wasn't mad. I'll eventually play through it again with the director's cut.

That's different, as Skyrim Legendary is just a bundle containing the base game plus all the DLC, it's not a separate listing in your Steam library. Human Revolution Director's Cut is a separate listing and has content that you couldn't get by buying DLC for the original game.

'upgrade' it's the full game isn't it?.. at least according deezus, I can't see any option to upgrade my base version.

The Deus Ex HR DC is a different game because the Missing Link is actually part of the game instead of just being a seperate campaign to play.

Yeah upgrade was not the appropriate word choice. Anyway this is what my store page says:
Buy Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut
Owners of Deus Ex and/or The Missing Link will receive a discount when purchasing Human Revolution.
