Can't connect your YouTube account? Try this...

Intro

Isn't that always the way... You go to connect Steam to YouTube, and it gives you the most generic error message on the planet: "There was an error connecting your YouTube account."
Well, here's how to fix it!

What is the Problem?

When Steam tries to connect to your YouTube account, it searches your Google Profile or something stupid like that. Your Google profile can hold more than one YouTube Channel, and when Steam goes to connect to your YouTube channel, it authorizes the action with your Google Profile. Basically, we have to instruct Steam to pull videos from a specific YouTube Channel. You shouldn't have this problem if you have only one YouTube Channel on your account, but who knows. It's Google!

How do I fix it!

Log onto the Google Account you want to connect with Steam. Go to YouTube, and make sure you have the channel you want to link with Steam selected!

Click your name in the top right corner, and click on YouTube Settings. It should bring you to your YouTube Account Settings. Under your email address you'll find Advanced. Click it.

Select the check-box that makes this channel your default channel, and save it.

Now go back into Steam and connect your account. Make sure you're logged into the right Google account, and have fun uploading all those videos!

Sorry, I posted this 4 years ago... I have absolutely no idea what I was talking about, so I can't even begin to troubleshoot. If you solve it, let us know!
