you don't get any code, when you buy steam wallet with paypal, you get steam wallet, not a code.


For example, you purchase a $5 steam wallet, $5.00 will appear next to your username on steam, that's it, no codes no nothing, you simply receive it.

I wanted to buy a wallet code to gift to a friend and didn't want to wait for EB Games to open tomorrow where I usually buy them, so I tried offgamers after seeing numerous recommendations in this thread.

So far I would not recommend them - their site is buggy as hell, and I had to try three times before it finally managed to direct me to paypal, yet once the payment cleared they first wanted to verify my email (ok, but why wasn't this done ahead of time?), then after that my order was flagged for manual verification!

Edit: This verification took roughly half an hour, but I have the code now. Not a great experience, but not terrible either.

Edit 2: Friend reports that the code worked.

Given the time and timezone the site is in I don't imagine it will clear before tomorrow evening, which makes the whole exercise quite futile given the only reason I tried was to get one tonight :facepalm:

There is a button to cancel the order, but as the money has already gone from my account that doesn't seem wise (plus I'm reasonably sure it will need manual intervention from their staff, so probably pointless as I'll have to wait either way)
