Cannot verify Credit Card Ownership

Hi, I got blocked from the community market because it said I had to verify my credit card. It charged me two transactions and I had to enter the amounts of the two transactions, which I did. However the problem was on my credit card statement it showed me the two transactions in CAD currency (since I live in Canada), and steam wants the amounts in USD currency. Unfortunately I did all 3 attempts in CAD currency and I cannot do anymore. I already sent in a support ticket but so far no response (it's been a few days). So now I'm gonna try here. I only want this resolved so I can be unblocked from the market and because I can get the two transaction charges back on my credit card.

Is there anything else I could do about this?

EDIT: This issue has already been resolved. I had to wait the seven days to be unblocked from the market however I did get refunded.

People even now still have this issue so if you need any help just post here or add me and I'll try to help out.

I also ended up having this same problem, used prepaid credit cards to fill my steam wallet for ages and now this... It's madness. It also took away $5 from my card including the currency exchange fee and I am unsure if I will ever receive it back or into my steam wallet.

I did contact steam, and support didn't do ♥♥♥♥ about it. I've had this happen to me twice, and the should be enough. Remove the card verification thing, it's just creating problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Steam said after 7 days i could try to verify my credit card again. I tried to calculate the amount steam purchased from NOK to EURO. Got my 3 attempts wrong and now i can not verify it anymore. It says iv tried 3 times and thats it. Everytime i set in money i have to wait 4 or 5 days until i can use my f****** money. Where is the logic, u can buy whate ever u want on steam(games etc) You can buy keys,nametag and so on. But you cant use your own money before you verify your creditcard. Where is the logic???? And if where is the warning message? And when you try to contact steam, it's the worst ever customer care ever! Ages before any answer. Steam is a million dollar company ffs.

If you don't live in the USA or somewhere that uses the US Dollar then to do the verifying you have to /call/ your credit card company or bank.. and you need to ask /them/ what the exact amount of money Valve charged in USD /before/ your bank or credit card company did the conversion "for you".

So ask them "How much did Valve charge me in USD, before your system did the conversion?" Or something like that.. They should be able to tell you those figures. Then, enter those numbers into the verification slots.

Trying to calculate on your own won't work, as you've seen, unless you are using the exact conversion site/software your bank is using. Even being 1 cent off is enough to trigger a failure.

Thanks. Yeah I know, after 2 weeks i figured out when steam finally contacted med. But the problem now is that i can't verify it anymore. When i try to, steam tells me that i have tried 3 times and have to wait 7 days. Well, iv waited 2-3 weeks now:P Before I installed cs go iv never had any bad experiences with steam. But now its different!

Same Problem ... And Steam support (Lol) I have heard Nothing ...I entered the correct verifying amts in my situation and the Ban was lifted from the community market ...The Ban was then placed on me buying games, DLC and refilling my Steam wallet.... I have heard nothing from Steam support ....

i need help also i used my credit card like i did before and now i used it again and its asking me for verification. which i entered the right numbers and it said it was wrong i did 50.00 and 25.00 because thats how much i spent on it help mee :((((

i think you need to read the link that comes along with the actual verification process.

Then.. follow those steps. Remember read the words! Hint..You do /not/ enter the amounts you spent.
