Cannot verify Credit Card Ownership
Hi, I got blocked from the community market because it said I had to verify my credit card. It charged me two transactions and I had to enter the amounts of the two transactions, which I did. However the problem was on my credit card statement it showed me the two transactions in CAD currency (since I live in Canada), and steam wants the amounts in USD currency. Unfortunately I did all 3 attempts in CAD currency and I cannot do anymore. I already sent in a support ticket but so far no response (it's been a few days). So now I'm gonna try here. I only want this resolved so I can be unblocked from the market and because I can get the two transaction charges back on my credit card.

Is there anything else I could do about this?
Thanks for reading. Please help me out if possible.

EDIT: This issue has already been resolved. I had to wait the seven days to be unblocked from the market however I did get refunded.

People even now still have this issue so if you need any help just post here or add me and I'll try to help out.

Wow good thing I'm not the only one on this problem. You also entered the amounts in a different currency?

Still looking for help / waiting for answer.

I have a similar issue except that I performed the verification on a gift Debit Card. I can't send or find any transaction information; the card's used up.

Alright, thanks for the info, eram. I provided all info such as last 4 digits of credit card, the 2 transactions, my credit card type, and some other info, aswell as a screenshot included. Hopefully they reply soon as possible.

swthompson08 you have to contact your credit card company or you have to find the website so you can see all transactions you've made. If not then contact steam support.

I can't contact them or see my transactions, it's a gift card that's all used up. I have nothing I can verify with.

I've already contacted Steam Support. I haven't got a response.

Well best thing for both of us to do is wait. Maybe if possible link your card with paypal so next time you can see a list of transactions you've made in the future. Only downside to this though is paypal charges extra (I think).

Or maybe Valve can put in some sort of warning to users so I know that I shouldn't use a debit gift card on their service. If I had known, I would be far less upset.

Personally I believe this is not something users should be expected to circumvent or plan for.

I know right I can't believe you have to go through a credit card verification. If I knew this would happen I'd link my card back to paypal.

I never happened to me that..I don't know why is happening to you :/
WishGamer Jun 24, 2014 @ 12:54pm
Well it's because I entered the two charges in CAD currency when it asked to verify my card. Basically steam thinks I live in the US which isn't true. I need to change the currency here if possible so next time it's listed in Canadian Dollar. But for now I will wait for steam support to reply.
