MSI Afterburner/ Riva Tuner not working in some games?
So I am trying to use Riva Tuner that comes with MSI afterburner to limit the FPS in games and for some games like hitman absolution it works great, but for others I simply cannot get it to work... I have set detection to high, put in the right .exe. I'm not sure why some games refuse to work.

Is there something with steam, uplay etc... that is blocking it? I'm trying to get it to work with darksiders 2 and having zero luck..

Yes there is. I know this is old, but I am trying to figure it out too. I have noticed it has something to do with the steam links that steam uses to launch the game instead of running the game executable directly.

For instance, I am having problems with it running on Rust. I know it will work with rust because if I run either of the rust executables from the steamapps folder, Riva and Afterburner work, I get the readouts I want, however steam won't let me connect to any servers, probably because the direct exe has something to do with not picking up my steam id.

If I run it through the steam shortcut (which i am assuming is not kicking off the exe running to Riva) I can connect to servers, but now no Riva readouts.

I will post again if I find an answer, I have yet to do so, and found this thread from Googling. Figure I would share that the games that don't work, appear to somehow be related to a steam id to run properly.
