Valve Complete Pack Worth It?

Right now it's on sale at $49.99 and I doubt it's going to get any lower.

I would buy it in a heartbeat but the thing is, I already have Left 4 Dead 2, Portal, and Portal 2, which are some of the most expensive games on there (besides Counter Strike GO). I'm mostly in it for the entire Half Life Franchise, Day of Defeat, and Counter Strike GO + Source. I'm planning on getting Garry's Mod as well, so in total I'd be spending $54.98.

Should I just buy the games I want individually? Is the Half Life DLC content worth it? Are there any terrible/community-dead games included in the Valve Complete Pack?

It's only at 50% off, and it's on sale until the end of the event.

Just wait until the end of the event to see if it goes cheaper (like 75%). You won't lose out by waiting, since it's on sale til the 30th.

True, but usually discounted bundles don't go down any further than what they're marked as. I'll wait until the end of the sale (or keep watch on the flash sales), I just want to know if I should buy the games individually or go ahead and buy the pack.

Unless Valve decides tomorrow to put their Valve games up for sale as a daily deal at 75% off and the bundle drops in price as well :)

Then you'll be kicking yourself for buying it too soon because 25% off on a bundle that large is a good chunk of change.

If Valve decides to put one of their games up for sale at 75% I don't think they'll put the bundle up at 75% as well. The lowest the bundle has ever gotten was $49.99 and I think one time it got even lower, but that was an error and was fixed quickly.

I didn't mean putting up a single game. I meant if they pulled a "Valve Publisher Deal" and dropped most if not all their games.

But as I said, you have nothing to lose by waiting until the 30th, because the sale for 50% is active until then. But there are 7 daily deal sales and something like 21 flash sales between now and the end of the sales events. Even if it's not likely, it's still possible that the price will drop.

You must bear in mind that while the ageing graphics on alot of these games. However, if that's not a problem for you then I would certainly recommend as the storylines in the Half Life games in particular are fantastic. CSS is still very active, and you can play on CSS maps in Garry's Mod. Prop Hunt mod is alot of fun in that regard. As others have mentioned, it's probably best to wait until last day to see if it is discounted further. But certainly worth it at this price anyway if, as I mentioned, the graphics are not a problem for you.
