Steam Download issues

I've recently started having the issue of games on Steam, during the download, being forced into the Update Required (Not Queued) list where they rarely come out and start downloading, if they do it last about 10 seconds or less where it then returns to the list. This has become a huge problem due to not being to download ANY game so Steam is pretty much useless. I've also noticed that some installers I download usually are corrupt and do not work the first time I install it so I have to install it for the second time for it to actually work.

If I try to click 'Play' to download the game in the Download list then it stops after a few seconds then shows the error 'An error occurred while updating Team Fortress 2 () (Image will be below) then it returns to the previous state and waits a bit to attempt to download again.

It is only recently this has started happening as before about the start of this month games would download fine. I have tried pretty much every solution. multiple uninstall and reinstalls (I have tried to Revo Uninstaller but I get error 'Running the applications uninstaller failed! Possible invalid uninstall command!' which means it did not uninstall at all.

Something that did make me wonder was that this started happening after I changed the case for my custom PC but I do not see how that could affect the download of a game.

I have uninstalled all kinds of programmes that could potentially interfere with Steam but nothing has solved the issue. I contacted Steam support and ran an 'MSINFO32' report for them but they came back saying that the issue was that the 'Disk was too busy' which I am certain it is not as I ran the download after turning off everything at start up besides steam so it was just that alone attempting to do anything on the computer and it just did the same thing.

Another issue which I have had ever since I first got the computer was that the images for the Steam programme are messed up, I am still not sure why this happens.

Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated as I have no idea what else to do now.

I can not download any games at all, whether it be FTP or paid for. I've also tried re-installing steam multiple times but it has solved nothing.

My download limit is unlimited. This has not been a short term thing, it has been for the past month and it is getting incredibly annoying now. I filled for a ticket back then and they have not come up with a working solution for me yet so I thought I would try the community

Now thinking about it guys I think we should compare and contrast of our systems, make sure it isnt a correlation between any of our parts (If there are any)? Internet provider for me is Frontier and I have a Linksys wireless adapter. I also have a built in wireless adapter on my motherboard but I use my Linksys one anyway.

same problem!!! Every download i start is breaking up and listing in the download list!
I tried every solution i found in the internet or here in the steam database....nothing happend...
steam support isnt helping anything, and i will never reinstall windows!
so.....whats next now?!

I'm on EE Broadband (I know, I know) I have a Laptone, I think, wireless adapter. I used to have a Wireless adapter on my MOBO but it didn't reach my router so I just stuck with the USB adapter. I am using an FX-6300, Sapphire Radeon 7770, Gigabyte 970A-DS3P MOBO

Half off new Wolfenstine and at this rate i will get to play it in 3 weeks..providing i leave my computer on 24/7 those 65-175kbs download rates would be impressive if this was limewire. I wonder if steam's new policy is to cap you unless blow wads of money on trading cards and badges? Makes me think of going back to buying packaged games. Easier to reinstall after the apparent "nvidia experience driver virus" that flattened my os. It forced me to format and reinstall everything. 720 gigs i have to re-download and now this crap.

ok guys, I've got a solution for this problem. All my downloads are going now without any interrupt!!!!
The only thing i had to do was to update the Wireless Lan Card Driver of my Laptop!!!!!!!!!!!!
