Steel Series 3GC need a hand here?!

So i just got this controller for my windows 7 PC, i got the steelseries file from their website installed it after windows found the reccomended drivers... I want to continue playing Darksouls but... neither JOYsticks are not working. I have gone into Xpadder and checked off sticks. they were not recongnized sadly. used motionjoy and installed drivers from them to use the port in the back of my PC. that also turned out to be fruitless.

if there is anyone out here that could lend me a hand that would be MUCH appriciated. I'll sharescreen/skype if possible. i would just REALLY like to continue playing without using my keyboard... ugh.

side note. when i go to test/calibrate the controller they do not respond there either. i am aware of the mode button and its ability to change dgital(being green) to analog (being red) and it is red so i can use both sticks.

Use a trackball. or a xbox360 pc controller. plug in and play. probelm solved bye im going to Idahoe.

I too have a Steele Series and have with the addition of installing Joy2mouse tried all the same things you have. I do have a response from the controller in Windows but when i open the games i tis not responsive. I'd like to go to Idaho too but will that really solve my controller issue?

thinking about just getting a xbone controller... i dont want to though and after holding the steelseries it looks like it can take some abuse. which is good too. i drop my controllers frequently. heh. and wireless... i lose them... like the last 2 wii controlers i had... I just dont get a response period. wonder if its a manufacturing defect...
Or just my PC. anywho,
