Open A Steam Client Page Through Web Link On Website
Hey guys,

I was wondering. Is it possible to open a page directly on the Steam client through a link on a website.

For example: Linking to a Steam Greenlight page currently opens up the Steam website in the normal internet browser. Is there a way for this link to open Steam and navigate to that page?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just add your link after this steam://openurl/ EDIT: This won't work!

Hey guys,

Thanks for your time. I've tried the steam://openurl/ command but it didn't seem to work for a Greenlight URL. Any ideas? :/

I found a Reddit post that was quite useful:

steam://url/CommunityFilePage/ID

This seems to work for opening a page but obviously the URL is not friendly for social media or anything similar.

Found a solution. Figure I'd post in case anyone else has a similar problem.

This Reddit post was incredibly helpful:

Using - steam://url/CommunityFilePage/ID

And then is.gd to shorten the URL to be compatible with social media and whatnot. Thanks for all the help guys, your time is very much appreciated :D
