Uploading unreleased music from program files of game, then posting them here is illegal?

Hello!

I got banned permanently from all Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition discussions, because I posted a download link to the soundtrack of the game (SSF4AE). The soundtrack cannot be purchased, it was never released, I extracted the sound files from the game files (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Super Street Fighter IV - Arcade Edition\resource\battle\sound\bgm). I converted them from WAV to FLAC, uploaded them to Mega.co.nz and posted the link in the SSF4AE discussions. Soon later I got permanently banned from those discussions, with the reason "piracy". This happened few weeks ago. On that day I've made a second Steam account to be able to post in the future, because I was a regular on those discussions, I was subscribed to it, I reviewed every post and mostly answered accordingly. I was respected, trusted, and I helped almost everyone out, and for this stupid misunderstanding, I didn't want to stop contributing. However, today I got revealed, and got banned again, from those discussions, permanently, for "bypassing ban". I even contacted support that, they didn't give me any reason, they didn't make any investigation, just sent back the link to Forum Rules.

I believe that posting a download link to sound files I extracted from the files of a Steamworks game, files that everyone owns who owns the game, is not piracy. As I said, those songs were never released officially, like in CD form, or in digital form (e.g. iTunes or Amazon).

What do you think? Do you think permanent ban is righteous?

Uploading/Downloading stuff which you have no rights for is considered piracy. As per Steam Community Rules and Guidelines any discussion of piracy will result in a permanent ban from the Steam Community. Even if you didn't upload it yourself, you promoted piracy.
Ban evasion is not allowed and gets those accounts also banned.
As this forums are no place to discuss moderation, I am closing this.
