It should work automatticaly as long as it is on xinput mode (switch the switch on the back to the x) and not all games support controllers

Make sure it is switched to [ X ] on the bottom.
Verify that it is detected and working in Windows; Control Panel > Devices and Printers. Should see the controller listed there; right click it and click on Game Controller Settings. Click Advanced and ensure it's selected as the Default/Preferred Device. Click the Properties button to verify the axis', triggers, and buttons are all working.

Might want to also check for updated driver for it via Windows Updates. If not; install the Driver + Software from Logitech here (under the Downloads section): http://www.logitech.com/en-us/support/gamepad-f310?osid=14&bit=64

If a game has issues whenever the Logitech software is running; close out the game, exit the Logitech software; then re-launch the game. Overall, controller should still work without it.

What a stupid statement.

True PC Gamers use the correct control system for the correct game. Gamepads work well for games made for them, just like wheels, joysticks and keyboard/mouse work best for games designed with them in mind.

Same issue; trying the download; game works with some games, like Gungeon and Binding of Isaac, but other games, like Evil Within don;t recognize the controller existing.

AFAIK the F310 has a switch for XInput vs. DirectInput that you have to switch manually. Switch it to XInput.
