Content Library Problem
I have just installed Win.7 and did not back up game library or anything along those lines.
Formatted the C:\ yadda yadda...
Thinking that Steam would be able to find the games I have installed on D:\ ...

But Steam tells me that the Folder must be empty when I try to add the Steam folder to the Content Library.

Does any one know the propper steps to say, Cut the folder to a thumb drive? Then Paste them to the new folder created after?

I would like to be able to some how have my old save files that are floating around in there.

Let me know if anyone has any ideas?

Thanks...

Go to Steam>Setting>Downlaods>Steam Library Folders. Have you tried putting in the path to your games here?

Add an empty folder and move the games there. Or just install Steam on D.

Herp Derp... Yeah I just tried that... It worked... Thanks Man!

But by chance, would you know how I would be able to recover the save files I Copied from the Steam Library on my C:\ ?

I saved all the folders and files, such as CAPCOM > DEVILMAYCRY4 > SavedGame00.DevilMayCry4

I dont have the game installed on my D:\

I'm just guessing, I would have to reinstalled (duh) then paste that folder/files into the place I choose to install them too?

You are welcome! :Rubber_Duck:

This can sometimes be tricky. First of all you will want to make sure that the save files are not actually in the "My Documents" directory in Windows 7 as this is usually the case nowadays with most games. Secondly, it can be usefull to start a new game in that said game, which in turn will create a new save file which can help you in locating the directory where you need to plonk your original save file.

Google can also be your friend when trying to locate save game directories. Good luck :happymeat:
