Paypal purchase results in preapproved payment subscription on one time purchases.
So something has changed on the steam end that now everytime I buy something via paypal it ends up creating a preapproved payment.

I have spoken with paypal and they have said its on the merchant end(steam). I have lodged a ticket with steam support. My payment goes through and all is good there. Its just the whole preapproved subscription being created thats the issue. Naturally I can cancel them, no money is actually taken at all etc.

Is anyone else having this issue? (figured Id post while I wait for supports reply).

You dont even need to complete the purchase to see. If you have the "Agree and Continue" button, it will create the preapproved payment sub.

Thanks.

I think its a feature not a bug, probably why the terms of service were updated as well. I can see why you would not want to have it create a preapproved payment though.

Its absolutely redicules.. Its 2018 and it has returned in the full..
And i simply wont buy anything via Steam store anymore untill this rediculess "Feature" has been removed..
There is simply no way to say "NO" i do not want Steam as a pre-authorized merchant, when you buy something you have too accept or no payment can be done..
Just read the agreement letter when you are ready to click the "Pay" button after logging in to your Paypal..

It will clearly states the following:
"I authorize www.steampowered.com to charge my PayPal account for such purchases and I instruct PayPal to pay such amounts." (Yeahh well how about you go FCK urself Steam!)

The can suck my Ballzz, im no longer buying directly from the store anymore..
KeyShops ftw! ;)

Or stop buying games directly from them and put your foot down against this kind of unacceptable behaviour..
Its up to me if i want to pre-approve a merchant, i should'nt be FORCED to agree when i want to do a single purchase..

Can you imagen if you go to your local store and you pay by card, they automatically save your data and the next time you come to buy a item they say:
Yes we deducted the price from your card, no need to grab your wallet..
Have a good evening sir... Like WTF?!
Thats what steams doing at the moment, cant understand this is being accepted..

But it isnt paypal fault?!
Its steam, they tell paypal to add themself as Pre-auth. merchant even tho i didnt tell them to do that..?!
Pre-Auth are on my account only used for re-occuring payments like Spotify or Netflix..
I dont see any use for a Quick Cash out in steam... I dont have a 2-factor Auth on my Paypal just for fun... :S
