Gifting it with the little gift icon will do the same thing, just with that one item instead of the whole bundle.
Items that contain multiple products will not give you extra copies if you already own one of them. They will simply disappear.
Well then I will use the little gift icon next to the game.
I don't know how it works if you gift an entire bundle.
You can, however, buy multiple copies of a bundle. They will appear that many times on your humble library. You cannot, however, get multiple copies of a game into Steam. Humble just registers keys for you, and you cannot register keys as gifts on Steam, unfortunately.
If multiple games are bundled into the same key (or activation button, as they do now), then yes things you already own will just disappear. If each game has its own activation, then it would block you from activating something you already own.
For example, if I click the button to activate Game 1, 2 and 3 onto my account, and I already own Game 1, I would get 2 and 3 but no extra copy of 1.
I redeemed the gift bundle myself,
and then I gifted one game in the bundle to a friend.
I still have the extra games to be redeemed or gifted, and I already bought another bundle for myself which I redeemed some games from. (not all)
I made my friend happy, I made myself a good deal and I have extra copies. ^^
