Help! Strange chat window from steam asking for funds based on unban request?
I was pretty sure it was a scam. But It could of been a legit steam service.

What window and what unban request?

What did you download?

There are no 'unban requests' for VAC bans.

I'm assuming some malicious software injected into my steam and saw my unban request on the help fourms and attempted to take advantage of the situation by tricking my into putting money on my steam wallet. The window looked like cmd and at first I thought it was an actual steam employee.

Also the unban request was just an attempt to get unbanned via steam support. I just hope it works. After all my game cheats were just noob crosshair hacks :/

It can't just transfer off to your computer and activate itself. You must have downloaded & ran a program of some sort.

P.s: Doesn't matter what the cheats were, you won't get unbanned I can tell you that.

Yeah I did. It was some shaky Steam Unban tool. It was stupid of me :/ (I was desperate)

Might want to perform anti-virus scans and anti-spyware scans.

Just read some complex code and learned it infested my steam and I'm going to quarintine this ♥♥♥♥♥! I'm gonna delete steam do a reboot delete the source and do multiple virus scans. Then I will take some pills because I will have a head ache. Wish me lucks.

Have fun. Next time remember not to be desparate and not get yourself into more mess.

You cheat, you get banned - doesn't matter what cheats as it gives you an advantage over other players, it's not fair.

I agree with you. There are so many hackers on the servers and I wanted the playing field a little more even I suppose.

I would highly, highly recommend you reformat your PC instead of performing multiple virus scans.

Understand that no anti-virus in perfect, and there's no telling what types of nasties your "Steam Unban Tool" planted in your PC.

Also, do not use your PC to log into any website until you've formatted it. The chances of you having a keylogger are high.

It was a stupid idea. But I am going to get an external hard drive copy my necessary files to it, then, wipe my computer. I already deleted my steam and will make sure everything is safe. I also ran some MBAM scans which would have deleted most key-loggers and malware but I can not be sure. Thanks a bunch for your help and reply's it reassures me that I'm not messing up again by doing this.

Yea its most likely a scam just ignor it and if you want to report it to steam support you can and let them investigate, here is there support page - https://support.steampowered.com/
