Is Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare still played?

I am about to buy it, but figured just to be sure I should ask before I commit 25 euro is it still played? A large part of the reason I'm buying it is the multiplayer, which of course would make it kind of pointless if it is just running rampant with hackers and a lack of normal players.

although its still cheaper when not on sale by 8 euros. don't worry about it saying mac, its steam works so its both windows and mac.

Still a ton of players on it and a ton of servers last i've seen, you'll have no trouble finding a full game.

Its still played by a lot of people because there isnt as much bull crap in that game as there is in the newer cods. yeah you find a few modders here and there but thats every cod

YES! There are a great number of people still playing the game. I play it myself all the time. There are a ton of ordinary servers, promod servers and other cool mods such as Kill The King, paintball etc. Definately worth checking out. One of my favourite FPS-games of all time.

Hey guys I'm not sure when this post was put up but is everything here still true? I really want a good fps but I can't seem to find one. MW 1 was my favorite so I'm hoping there are still normal players.

Yes, CoD4 is still being played by a large sum of people. There are many hackers, but that's what you get with a game that is very old.
