Can i buy a game through vpn or remote proxy server?
Currently Payday 2 is US$7.42 if i buy it fro Brazil it saves me $2.58. But i'm afraid my account will get banned or something. Can anyone tell me if its safe specially someone who's had a similar experience?

It is against the SSA. It will get you banned.

Pretty sure that you violated the SSA.

You agree that you will not use IP proxying or other methods to disguise the place of your residence, whether to circumvent geographical restrictions on game content, to purchase at pricing not applicable to your geography, or for any other purpose. If you do this, we may terminate your access to your Account.

If caught which is easily found out by Steam YOU WILL HAVE YOUR ACCOUNT DISABLED.

Just skimmed through the SSA, not gonna risk it. I guess asking a trustworthy Brazilian is not a violation since you're not actually disguising your geo-location and you're logged in from a Brazilian ISP?

Certain region locked games can only be installed/activated or played from the country or region it was bought in.

Payday 2 is not region locked, i checked at http://steamdb.info/app/218620/

I don't see where it lists region restrictions on that link you gave. Also, it is $10 usd on sale now, how much is it in Brazil? There have been claims of Payday 2 begin retroactively locked.

My bad. http://steamdb.info/sub/19255/ this link is for Skyrim, as you can see there are some countries in 'onlyallowrunincountries' and 'PurchaseRestrictedCountries'. This means if you buy Skyrim from the listed countries then it woud run only in said countries. Which is not the case for http://steamdb.info/sub/30182/ <<The correct link for Payday 2. Please correct me if i'm wrong as i don't know much about this.

Ok I see what your talking about now. Before you take the plunge google "Payday 2 region lock" I saw some places complaining about a region lock being imposed after purchase but the ones I saw didn't mention Brazil.

I guess i'll just buy it for $10, but this is really sad. What if someone moves from Brazil or Russia to someplace else(US for example), is he banned from playing his games that he bought in his former-country? Amazing!

If they send proof of residence change Steam will somehow enable/fix their account
