Microsoft VC Redist Package won't install

Okay, I am grumpy like a guy with colon canmcer has a right to be. I bought Wolfenstein retail in a store and it took 2 days to finish install for ready to play. Now it needs to do a First Time Set up and I get a box about 1 of 5 for Microsoft VC Redist package that never completes after hours of waiting.

WTF?

I think perhaps I should not buy games that link to steam if I can'y play them out of a retail box.

the exe should be in your games folder. try manually running the exe as a admin.

Hey I know I'm real late, but what worked for me was when running the game, if it prompts you to ask whether or not to let the program make changes to your computer, click no. Clicking yes will open up the download tab, while clicking no will start the game immediately.
