HELP/ Signing into PS3 via steam.

So the basic question is that I am wondering what features on steam can you access via the Ps3 sign-in feature at the login screen of Steam.* Can I play PS3 games purchased thru the store or obtained from PS+ on my computer thru steam? * Is the only way to link my PSN account via Portal (2?)? The only thing it was ever used for was Portal 2 (and I think, let you have access to Portal 2 on Steam if you purchased it on the PS3 and linked your account). It doesn't let you play any of your other PS3 games on your PC, or PC games on your PS3. It's really an all around worthless feature.
