Steam wont accept my Credit Card

I keep trying to purchase the game 'Garrys Mod' and steam continues to state that my card has been declined by the company. But I literally just bought this Vanilla Prepaid Mastercard 20 minutes ago, and it's balance is 25.00$.

If someone could help me with this from personal experience, or refer me to someone who can help, it would be much appreciated. (:

Before I got my debit card, I used to use prepaid cards to buy games off steam, it would always take me spamming the button for a few minutes telling me it was declined before it randomly accepted it. Try spamming the button a few times, if that doesn't work IDK.

Don't spam the purchase button, it's always a bad idea to do that.

He's right if you don't have your billing info attached to the card then there is nothing for Steam to verify it against. Also, certain prepaid cards are just not compatible with steam's billing system.

Even after fully registering my cards and having a compatable prepaid card, when I did it it still used to take many tries before randomly being accepted. Never found out why

It's okay, it worked now. For some odd reason Steam just wouldn't allow the payment to go through. I tried it about 2-3 times before it actually worked.

Hi guys. I had similar problem - I own MasterCard debit card and I was unable to make payments on Steam - every transaction was declined. Now the problem is gone.

I recomend logging on your bank account (if you have online banking enabled) and find information about your card. Probably your limit for online payments is set to 0,00 $/euro/zlotys/whatever. Change it to higher value - and it worked for me, I set it for like 250 euros and its ok now.

I need to add I hadn't this problem with other transactions, just Steam refused them.

its pure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, i am able to buy games and add funds but i cannot use the market because i havent verified my card, whenever i put a penny onto my account i get a week ban from the marketplace

Find a payment method that you can keep using, the same, so that you don't get new payment method restrictions every time.

so ive recently been trying to buy this game with my debit mastercard and it says it has something to due with the credit card company and i called my bank to enable my card again so i wanted to test it out that it worked so i bought food and it worked but then i tried to buy stuff on steam and it still says same thing

Then it's still on you and your bank to fix the problem.

If you used it, there's not enough money on it to work with steam. If it was specifically used BEFORE NOW and you were told that it wasn't allowed, that specific card will never work again. You'd need to try a different payment method.
