I AM 12 AND STEAM IS ASKING FOR ALL OF MY PERSONAL INFORMATION!!!
I have sold 200 items on the steam market place and made 30 some odd dollars and bought some steam games with it, now they are asking if i am a legal resident of the United States (wich i am) and that is simple enough, but after that question it is now asking me for my personal information, including but not limited to (social security number,my name,my address, tax information and to fill out a 5060W tax form.) What am i to do???

Fill out the form and send it to Steam for tax purposes. If you don't want to do that, you will have to wait till next year for trades or selling. Ask for help from your parents.

You aren't even supposed to use steam at that age. The minimum age is 13.

Please site the source of where it says that information.

The word is spelled *cite*. And I don't know what information you want. You want the information about the tax policies? That should be in your subscriber agreement. Click help and click subscriber agreement.

If you sell over 200 items...taxes become a thing.

There is a tick box that you agree you are over the age of 13 when you created your account.

It doesn't matter - you have to fill out the form accurately and honestly if you wish to continue selling on the community market this calendar year. As you aren't old enough; you should ask a family member to help you.
You are young....

i guess a 13 year old has the cognitive ablilty to interact with the IRS on a level that i, as a 12 year old, does not.

Its okay they wont close your account only because you are 12.

Just fill that informations and send it to them.
I had to do the same when i sold more than 200 items on Steam market.

Its actually minimum age to enter into a legally binding contract, somewhere... not sure where. Definitely not binding here in the UK.

Thanks, i thought 13 was too young for any country to allow a legal contract.
