Garry's Mod Recommended Specs

So I'm thinking of buying Garry's Mod, on my laptop and desktop. When I looked it up on http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=1984&game=Garrys%20Mod, My specs were really good, is it reliable? Here are my specs for my laptop, it's a Sony VAIO:

Intel Core 15-3337U CPU
8 gb of RAM
1.8 GHz
Intel HD Graphics 4000.

Garry's Mod started as a Half-Life 2 mod. I don't think the specs for the game are that much different. Nearly anything at this point should run Garry's Mod decently.

The 1.8ghz on specs are likely for a 1.8ghz single core Pentium 4, or any 1.8ghz CPU form 8-10 years ago. A third generation 1.8Ghz i5 is going to perform much better even if the clockspeed is the same because not all 1.8ghz CPU's are equal.

Even though your Intel HD4000 graphics are pretty weak compared to modern GPU's, it's better than almost any Direct X 9 GPU, so you should be fine.
