controller problems
hi please can someone help.

I have just finished re-installing all of my games onto a new lap top.Unfortunately, no games will recognise any of my controllers.

I have tried xbox 360 wired & wireless and a GAME own branch controller but nothing works. I have tried the X360CE program mentioned on other threads but even that is not working, putting the X360CE program in the folders containing the games I want to use the controller with, i.e. Borderlands 2, bioshock, splitsecond, TS2015 etc.

The controllers do all show up on windows device manager and on the X360ce program.

I am using an acer aspire IV with core i7 8gb ram & 2 gb nvidia graphics card on windows 8.1

please can someone help.

Le tms paraphrase. Give me an exhaustive list of your controller devices listed ij the device manager.

This is too much. Do you have any programs installed that emulate gamepads? It looks so. Ams it looks like those fake gamepads take priority over your real gamepad resulting in that not working.

not that I know of. This is a new pc I have only reinstalled steam plus games, itunes, magix movie edit pro and google chrome so far

Well. First, unplug everything except for mouse and keyboard. Then check the list again. If its still full of that stuff, you have problematic software.

Launch manager wireless device
Microsoft input configuration device
Synaptics HID device

Next step. Open the device stage window ("Devices & printers") and check there. With the XBox gamepad plugged in. Is anything gamepad-esque showing up there and can you successully test the gamepad input.
