Phone number?

When i tried to buy darkfall with a prepaid credit card,steam asked for my phone number,but i dont have one.
I also cant just leave the field blank.
What should i do?

Pretty sure they are going to ask for the phone number associated with the card. So whatever you put in that field should match the information on the card.

Thee is no phone number that is linked to the card.
The card is not linked to my bank account,its just like a paysafecard,i didnt need to give away any personal infos when i bought it.

From experience with others using prepaid cards, Steam will decline the transaction if the information you enter cannot be matched with the information on the card.

Great....i used a prepaid credit card outside of steam once and didnt have any problems,they also didnt ask for my phone number.
And now steam wants my phone number(that i dont have).
The prepaid,,card''is just a piece of paper to throw away after you used it.

Interesting question, you should really ask Steam Support and maybe pay safe what to do if you don't have a phone.
Report back what they answer.
In the mean time I'm not sure, what to do. Making up a number could work but it could also create problems...

Try asking steam support on twitter, they might give you a response quicker: https://twitter.com/Steam_Support
But send in a ticket also anyway.

While it is not ideal, you may also wish to ask a close friend or family member if you can use their phone number. It's not like Steam is going to call you unless something really, really serious happens.

They never call, ever. They only use the phone number for verification purposes.

Its not that i dont,,want''to give my number away,the problem is that i dont have one.

I will try to borrow a number for this,but i will write a ticket now anyway,want to know this now.

Try asking paysafe also if you can.

Still, they should know about steam and know what you should enter. Maybe they have a number you should enter for cards like that.

Also consider thinking about using different ways to pay for games on Steam in the future if this doesn't work at all. Or maybe get a phone, they have their uses.
