My steam account is limited ?
I created this account yesterday & didn't notice any change
I think when you create a new steam account its already limited.

I usually don't buy games from the steam store.

I use *removed* store. (I use them all the time. They are trusted by me.)

They send games as steam gifts.

Will redeeming these gifts remove the limitation or
Do i have to use the steam store to buy games.

Steam Says

To remove limitation you must spend 5$ or more within steam store

or

Or you must own a game that is 5$ or more.

Q. Are all steam accounts limited after the creation ?

Confused :\

A: Yes.

and don't use unauthorized resellers like <Consonant><numeral><vowel>.

You need to add funds via

Or alternatively buy something from the Steam Store directly
http://store.steampowered.com

The amount has to accumulate up to $5 USD minimum.

How do I gain access to these features?
You will need to spend at least $5.00 USD within the Steam store. Some examples of purchases that grant access to these features are:
  • Adding the equivalent of $5 USD or more to your Steam Wallet
  • Purchasing game(s) that are equal to $5 USD or more from the Steam store
  • Adding a Steam Wallet card to your Steam account
  • Purchasing a Steam gift that is equal to $5 USD or more from the Steam store (Receiving a Steam gift from a friend doesn't count)
Each Steam purchase total will be tracked in USD. If your Steam store's currency isn't in USD, it will be tracked and converted to USD automatically using daily exchange rates.

Yes, all accounts start limited.
Circumventing the forum word filter is a fast way to get the moderators annoyed. There's a reason why those stores are censored. They are known for selling stolen goods.

You must invest 5 US Dollar in Steam, by buying something or charging your Steam wallet.

Retail licenses used to be enough.

They haven't been enough since late 2014.

There's other third party sites that are authorized though.
i.e. http://greenmangaming.com

Unauthorized resellers only have you run the risk of getting your keys revoked.

And I also want to tell you something else.

My other account was created in late 2014 when they had the blue'ish interface not the blackish

I used to play loads of team fortress 2 that was the only game I played.
Then I bought CS.

Then I bought the valve complete pack from the store.

And I got the badge + level up + no limitation etc

:\

Its gotta work ?

Add funds, or buy something from the Steam Store directly that's worth $5 USD.

Then you're unlimited.

Sure, buying anything that's the equivalent of five US dollar or more will unlimit your account and give you full access to all features of Steam.

You need to either spend $5 on Steam or add $5 to your account.

Regardless of what you may have done in the past, that is what you need to do.

(You will also need to wait 30 days AFTER that in order to use the market)

And note that Wallet code redemption isn't a purchase towards Steam Market countdown.

If you redeem a code, you need to use the funds once for it to count.
