I've Lost my Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn DLC
I've purchased the package and I've enjoyed the DLC in the past. I've recently started playing the game again as a new character, but could not find any of the Dawnguard, Hearthfire or Dragonborn content.
The only things I've managed to find on the harddrive regarding the DLC is the Armor textures. Beyond that, I could not find anything else.
Loading some of my older saves proved to be pointless; what should have loaded was the Castle Volkihar. Instead, what loads is the Sleeping Giant.

I've tried to "verify the integrity of game cache", and it responds with a message saying that "1 file failed the validate and will be reacquired". However, there is no download prompt, or any indication that any files are being reacquired. The window, itself, is without a loading bar. It only has the message and a "close" button.

Does anyone know what could have happened?

Is there a way for me to reacquire the DLC?

It says you don't own the DLC.

That is the issue.
I know for a fact that I've purchased a package. I have some saves to prove that I, at least, had Dawnguard.
I've also found a bunch of Dawnguard textures (actors, armor, clothes, weapons) under dlc01, but only textures. Nothing else.
I mean, was it taken from me? Is that something that can happen? Did I accidentally get rid of it somehow?

Did you buy it straight from Steam?

I did. If it's worth mentioning, I think the package was one of those weekend sales.

If you have a mod manager installed - re-enable the DLC esm. files manually.

I cannot find the receipt. I only have a confirmation number in the E-mail they sent me.

I do have a mod manager, but I can't find any mention of any DLC in it.

I'm looking into the store transaction statement in my Steam account. It says I've purchased Skyrim, but it doesn't say anything about Dragonborn, or Dawnguard.
This is driving me crazy. I don't mean to sound paranoid, but I know for sure I've had the DLC. I've played the Dawnguard quest for months. I can prove it, if I need to.

in Mod Manager click plugins, not mods. If the DLC esm files are unchecked then one of the mods simply deactivated them. Recheck and they will work.

Thats the better case. If those DLCs dont even show up, then you dont own them.

Laundromator, that might be my only option at this point. Thank you.

Astraea, I've checked the plugins as well. There were no DLCs there.

Teutep, I've checked those links and they all say I don't have the DLC in my account.

Thank you all for your replies, but I think all I can really do is contact customer support. I have proof that I at least had the Dawnguard DLC. I might as well forget about Dragonborn and Firehearth.

Anyways, I paid less than $20 for the package. The way I see it, even if I don't get the DLC back, I still got a bargain for Skyrim.

Thank you all for the replies. Good night.

Have you ever used Steam Family Sharing? Might that have been the reason?

I've never used Steam Family Sharing.
There is only legendary edition which is package come with dlc if u dont have it means u wont payed for dlc maybe ur confued u should know downguard got in ppl acc for free but later they remove from ppl acc who dont purchase it but ppl still able to play for months cause dlc file still in ur pc but for some regon they get remove if u did something u shouldnt if u sure u payed for dlc contact support with ur email etc of purchase
Is it possible that you got the Dawnguard DLC for free in 2013 when it was accidentally given away?

But the users who got it for free did not get a license for it.

I have a friend that got Dawnguard that way, and it became part of his saves. When he reinstalled Skyrim, he did not have it anymore.

I figured I'd list them in case you want to mention them in your support ticket.
The dates would certainly match with the aforementioned accident.

Nice catch!

The achievements hadn't even occured to me. Thank you, Fautronix.

And thank you, Tara. I wasn't aware of that incident. What I had taken for a package may very well have been a mistake.
