An issue with your computer is blocking the vac system Tf2 (BOOT SETTINGS DEFAULT)
Here's the link to the official support page: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2117-ILZV-2837

'Note:
If you recieve the following error when entering these commands they are already set to default.

The value is protected by Secure Boot policy and cannot be modified or deleted.'

I get this error, do my boot settings are default, so, yeah. It doesn't say what to do if this is the case. I restarted and I still get kicked for the vac error. I've also tried deleting the appcache folder, that seemed to work at first but its happening again. Also, I validated my tf2 files. Anyone know how to fix this?

Most likely it is something else in your computer not imediatly noticeable causing your problems with VAC blocking you.

Make sure there are no pieces of software installed on your computer that VAC could conflict with, which would likely cause this problem to occur. If that is the case then you could do either two things:

Uninstall the software

OR

Restart only steam which may be able to fix this problem.

Alternatively it could also be caused by hidden programs that automaticly start themselves with your log onto your computer / PC that may be also conflicting with your computer.

For more listings about software which can conflict with VAC and your steam account feel free to visit the following steam support article.

Thanks for the reply, but I haven't installed anything new recently. I'm thinking maybe it was an Avast update or something? I'll check

I added the steam folder to the exclusions list, I'll update later if this works or not

actually u need to add steam service,.exe for gud response which maybe in program files-common files-steam
or u can simply check for steam service in task manager and find its location

Sigh. Adding the entire steam folder didn't work. I'll try doing what you said.

That didn't work either. ALso, I just checked my programs list just to be sure, and as I said before, its good as gold, nothing new/fishy.
Enable DEP

Data Execution Prevention (DEP) must be enabled to play on VAC secured servers. To restore DEP settings to default please follow the steps below:

Exit Steam.
Click the Start button, then ‘All Programs’, and ‘Accessories’
Right-click on Command Prompt and click “Run as administrator…”
– Please note if you are running Windows 8 you will need to press Windows Key + X and select Command Prompt (Admin)
In the command prompt, type the following command and press Enter:
bcdedit.exe /deletevalue nx
Restart your computer.
Launch Steam and test the issue again.”

In addition stick these in the cmd pressing enter after each one:

bcdedit /deletevalue nointegritychecks
bcdedit /deletevalue loadoptions
bcdedit /debug offf

If using a PC
- Please exit Steam, and navigate to the …\Steam\ directory (by default this is C:\Program Files\Steam - if you set a different installation directory, you will need to browse to it).
- Delete all of the files in this folder except: Steam.exe and the \Steamapps\ and \Userdata\ folders
- Restart your computer and test the issue again

try to carefully follow this again https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2117-ILZV-2837
