Movies on Steam

The movies I buy/download from Steam can I later download and watch them from places such as an airplane?

I put Steam into offline mode on my laptop and then tried launching a movie from my steam account and it indicates steam must be online.

I am trying to determine how I can either download the movie from my steam account or be able to watch it on a plane. Is this doable or not?

If you're referring to movies such as Indie Game: The Movie, or Free to Play, yes, you can.
Open the install folder in steamapps/common, and copy the mp4 out onto the device you'll be using on the plane.

If you're referring to the ones that stream, rather than download, then no you cant.

At this time there is no option to download a streaming video.
