Large Address Aware

Is this alright to use and by that I mean Steam isn't against the use of it on games' .exes is it? Would love to have a mod answer me on this.

I was more worried about using it on an online game. I noticed Dota 2 is a 32 bit and wanted to see if the LAA would make it run any smoother or not. But I didn't want to try unless I knew for sure that Steam wouldn't do something for me using it.

Then it was one of the recent patches causing problems then as I never had an issue before hand. But that didn't really answer my question about it being safe to use on online games.

Given the game is already large address aware even if it is safe it wouldn't help. And if it is not safe it'll get you VAC banned. Don't use it.

That's the whole point of this thread to find out. Besides that is there a way to find out if a program is LAA? And if not is the steam client itself LAA?
