LOL, that doesn't apply anymore since the Mods are no longer volunteer, but paid Valve employees.

Short answer, you don't.

Forum moderation is contracted out to a 3rd party company. So you'd have to interview and get hired there for some kind of moderation position.

Although not quite the same thing, but you could also become a community moderator for a game, although the specifics would vary from developer/publisher and your abilities would be restricted to that game's hubs.

Since when are all of them Valve employees, and none are appointed by Valve or game developers to moderate a game hub? That info that they're 'no longer volunteer' I know to be false because I see moderators every day on game hubs who are volunteers.

On game hubs they are appointed by the game dev not valve.

And you didn't exactly list how to apply to be a game hub moderator for thousands of developers and publishers with potentially different processes.

And since the post you linked to was specifically for Valve, and Valve changed their moderator system and retired all the previous Valve appointed volunteers... try to keep an open mind your knowledge is out of date.

Share the info please. Here's some (granted, not official Steam or Valve statements) info saying there are applications:
https://howbecome.net/how-to-become-a-steam-moderator/#The_process_filling_out_an_application_and_passing_an_interview

https://gamejobs.co/Steam-Community-Moderator-Remote-at-Statespace

There isn't an application for moderators on the official Valve Software website:
https://www.valvesoftware.com/

Doesn't mean they aren't listed there when there are openings for moderators. Maybe there aren't any open positions for moderators at the moment.

Where's the official announcement that they aren't volunteers or appointed anymore?

Unless you believe the former volunteer moderators were lied to... and they were all replaced with other volunteers and all those volunteers have kept the conspiracy quiet.

The first link is undated and I'd guess it's out of date.

The second link is an out of date job posting and isn't for Valve and doesn't seem to be a volunteer position.

As far as we know moderation has been subcontracted out to a 3rd party company, so Valve wouldn't really manage applications in that case. One of the purposes of contracting work is it's the other party's responsibility to manage it.

Because Valve retired that program 1-2 years ago.

There was never an official statement about it.

There won't be anymore Volunteer Moderators that are under Valve.

so I guess the conclusion is that there is no way of becoming a moderator and ONLY valve itself will offer you an opportunity
thats all I needed to hear
thanks y'all

If you want to be a global moderator you'd likely have to apply with the contractor Valve has doing moderation. Valve isn't going to offer you a position in someone else's company. But who knows if they'll bring moderation back in house down the road or what, forever is a long time.

sadly I actually reached out to them about this
they responded that you have to pay a small commission to valve employment agency and wait for their response, but this method is only available for US and UK as far as I'm aware. I haven't found any sort of valve contractor in Finland or third party companies that requires your info and extra info about the related position

The volunteer mods when they were around were invited to be mods, they did not apply.

Most of such companies are based on cheap wage countries and you have to move to those countries to work for those companies. I've been offered such jobs in Thailand, Spain and Estonia and all three required migrating to where the company is located. Salaries offered, while probably good by those countries standards, were below minimum wage in Finland.

Majority of the big companies offering such services to other companies are mostly located in India, Sri Lanka or other 2nd/3rd world English speaking countries.

Sykes is one of the companies that provides technical support services for other companies. It may very well be one of the 3rd party companies Valve is using to provide support if that's how they're doing it now. Probably 7 out of 10 technical support agents we speak to either online or over the phone had something to do with Sykes somewhere along the line of their training.
