A third party account that does not belong to me has been linked to this account. Can I unlink it through steam?
A Bethesda account that I didn’t make is linked on here. How do I get rid of it? Bethesda itself is no help whatsoever.

The linking is done on the other end. Only Bethesda support can assist you.

that’s frustrating, because they haven’t been helpful at the slightest.

I would be concerned because in order to link your account from Bethesda means someone had access to your Steam account, unless Bethesda support change the steam ID on their end for said Bethesda account, and using your Steam ID, note ID just numbers not your login info for steam.

I don't think they have access to steam itself. If that was the case I would have noticed them spending money or something.

No, I'm saying if someone had access to your account at one point that means they were literally login to your account to setup the link process. You can't setup link process without logging into your Steam account in the first place hence why it askes for login in the first place.

Now for 2nd part as I said, if someone made the Bethesda account, and contacted support to switch out Steam ID on their system then that by why you're seeing linking to account not yours.

The only other thing I can think of, is either you forgot about said Bethesda account you made.

I just dealt with this issue for the past month and searched the entire internet for a solution and didn't find anything; however, I figured it out on my own. You have to make a ticket with you Bethesda account that you want to link to steam. Tell them everything and try to find the option that allows you to request for text support youll get a response a lot faster that way. Then you have to just keep on them keep demanding your steam account gets released until they escalate it to someone higher up. I did that tactic for weeks until after being fed up I reported zenimax to the better business bureau and explained to them what is going on. Within 2 days of that I have a new ticket opened up from a higher up in customer service reach out to me and tell me to A: list all possible usernames, B: list all possible emails and C: download the free game Elder Scrolls legends from steam, get to the main menu go to settings then click the i icon on the bottom of that menu and get your BUID and send them that code. Within 24 hours after replying to that my steam account was free and I was able to link my actual Bethesda account to steam. I hope this helps people in the future not have to go through all the hoops I did
