how to turn autoset off

ive been trying to find where the settings are to turn off autoset, anyone have a clue where that setting is?

Hey, I was trying to revoke my api key on steam but every time I did that, it wouldn’t let me and would constantly stay, “turn of autoset to stop automatically adding your api key” or something like that. I got no clue we’re that setting is

There is no such thing. It means someone has access to your account and generates it every time you remove it.

That means your account is compromised.

Hijacked, not hacked. You leaked your account credentials somehow.

Do not trade until your account is secured.

Take the following steps to secure your account:

1. Scan for malware. https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a clean computer.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key (there should be no key). https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

If API key readd itself after deleting it then means someone on your account, do not wait do all the steps above asap to kick them off your account.

Figure out how they got on your account.

- Did you login via any site that wasn't Steam? There lots of scam sites that copies Steam interface, and even making fake web pages to look like Steam url, and everything only to be fake page on 3rd party site.

- Are you share account with someone?

- Did someone claim to be support/admin or etc to give them your login info?

Secure your account and stop using third-party trading sites!

You should also leave the group that is advertising such a site .

If you have the chrome extension csgo trader they have a autoset api key. just remove that from youre chrome and revoke youre steam api key and it should not generate a new one.

Yo actually thank you so much! I completely forgot I had an extension. Deleted it rn and I finally revoked the key without it autosetting. Thank you so much again! Big appreciation m8!

you may use csgo trader chrome extension
