wonky captcha, what is a code from my mobile app, and is it the same as the authenticator?

just had a windows update and now i cant log in even though i have used my account name and password, theres not enough character spaces to enter my authenticator i try to log in on my phone and it only says use my mobile to log in and use a code or a qr code. after i try to log in using all my info it says an error has occurred or i didnt pick the captcha test correctly which is stupid cuz it doesnt let you skip it.

The guard code is 5 letters or so. They renew every 30 seconds. So make sure the time on phone and pc match

so, the time on pc and phone match, it wont generate a guard code for me, i click on help i cant sign in, and it tells me enter my account name, or email or phone number associated with the account, i type in my account name do the captcha and in red up above it says the phone number or email i used is invalid....wtf how does any of this make sense you have to agree a little bit, this program is so beyond saving because all the terms are interchangeable and make no sense, im told to check my email and theres no code there just telling me if i didnt request the code to lock the account, i was getting codes earlier but i guess my pc was off by one minute i cant get them sent to my phone anymore, wish i could get all my money back from this garbo app
