Best way to know to know/learn how well games work with mouse and keyboard
My left hand is partially disabled these days. For gaming it can pretty much only do WASD. I wish it was easier to know which games play well, poorly or are not at all viable with mouse and keyboard.

Advice would be greatly appreciated.

All of them, unless there's a note on the store page indicating the opposite.

As an example I took a look at Gotham Knights. It mentions that it can use controllers. It doesn't say that they are required or even preferred.

Meanwhile, on forums, there's a lot of talk about mouse and keyboard problems with that game.

That's a specific case of a borked game, not a general rule. For specific cases, you'd have to look at the forum indeed.

A general rule would be "certain genres are inherently KBM-focused" meaning sticking to said "certain genres" would make for an easy bet. However, that would mean restricting yourself to said certain genres.

Thanks for your thoughts on the matter.

To be honest it's really going to be a case of googling the game and asking in discussions, because even though there are initiatives going on around accessibilty, it's all still pretty piecemeal. There is this website that reviews games from that perspective:
