Steam games not responding to (left) mouse clicks.

I have had trouble with several games recently in regards to left mouse clicks not being "seen" by the game. nuclear Throne, Hero Siege, Delver, etc. I even purchased Heroes of Hammerwatch 2 and returned it because mouse clicks were not being consistently responded to. I replaced my mouse, cleared cache memories within Steam and in mt Steam folder. While I have been having this issue, several games have been really unplayable and I have found little to no help online besides things like "have you tried unplugging it?", or clear cache data, etc. Looking for some real help please. Its very frustrating.
