Steam client error "Unable to connect to server."
Hi,
A few days ago, I encounter this error: When I login to steam client, I got the error "Unable to connect to server. Server may be offline or you may not be connected to the internet." Error code: -101.
I reinstall my steam to C drive, then it back to normal, but now the error return. I can still see my library, but cannot download the game.

No problem login web steam. I try disable anti-virus also no help. Any suggestion?

Start your system in safe mode (for unsurprising reasons with networking), see if Steam can log in then.

check if your adapter is disconnected.
this PC right click. management . device manager. network adapters.

try network reset. if that doesn't work try the troubleshooter. It never works but there it is.

Hi,
I found the culprit, it's my anti-virus "self-defense" feature that somehow cause steam client and the adobe creative cloud unable to connect to their server. I just reset it and all back to normal now.
