Games lagging in online multiplayer, but not offline...
Hello, I'm having an issue.

My specs are:
AMD 3600 overclocked to 4.1GHz
1x GTX 970 overclocked half way
monitor: ROG Swift 1440p 1ms 144hz
motherboard: Gigabyte 78lmt-USB3 6.0
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
When I play Steam games offline, I have no issues whatsoever. The games run fine, fast, and 144hz with no problems, but as soon as I go into a multiplayer game online, like Dragon Ball Xenoverse for example, the opponent will end up lagging all over the place, and there is serious latency. When I play Killing Floor 2, no one else is lagging, except my own character keeps stuttering around, (not movement, but when I look down, I see my character glitching a little).

I never had this issue before I upgraded from an old 60hz 1080p panel, but when I swapped the old monitor for this one, I did overclock my CPU. I'd eventually overclocked my GPU too, but overclocking it fully will put loads of pixelated glitchy squares all over the screen, so I only overclocked it half way and it was fine.

Today I've put my CPU and GPU back at stock settings, and the problem still persists, but it might not be as bad as before. I don't know why it's doing this. I've never had this issue before until now, and I'm certain that my network adapter can handle it, as it did before. I even re-installed Windows due to this issue, and that didn't help either. Could it be a corrupt file that's saved to the Steam servers which gets transported back to my PC when I download the games?

I'm not sure how to resolve this. When I first got the ROG Swift, things were a little blurry, (besides text), games would just feel a little blurry. Most noticeably still images, such as the character roaster, and this issue seems to still be present after the reinstall too, but perhaps that's a graphics card configuration issue. I've also tried lowering settings, keeping an eye on the FPS bar, but it's not decreasing to a drastic level.

Could it be G-Sync? Perhaps when playing online, it puts more stress on the system, and one GTX 970 can't cope, so the G-Sync is struggling even more with it on, than it would if it was turned off?

On a side note: The ROG Swift doesn't come with a sharpness adjuster on the settings menu, and Anisotropic filtering 16x still doesn't get away from the blur of the edges of some pictures (in game). It's not too noticeable, but I didn't have this issue on PS4. Perhaps this issue is to do with everything being zoomed in a little too far? I thought it looked nicer seeing them less pixelated than they do on PC.

What can I do about the online lag and the slight blur in games?
Thanks for keeping up with my noob questions!

Is this bad? See, I've never had this issue previously, or with PSN, or Xbox Live, as stated above in all that pesky text, but now it seems to be an issue after switching monitors, or perhaps another issue altogether.

It isn't a monitor issue. If consoles in your home work, then it would be software on your PC causing the issue.
