Steam vs Console?

Steam > Console for days. Does anyone think next gen consoles will effect PC gaming hugely? Thoughts.

consoles are just name brand PC's with limited functions and crapy hardware that can't be upgraded..

console is for pepole who think it outruns a pc, but in the reality its only a cash machine for the companies who make them and pepole dont understand that they can get a better platform when it comes to gaming. so here are my pros and cons.

PC pros
1. cheap games and very good f2p games
2. whenever you want, you can upgarde it.
3.better performance and graphics. no arguments.
4.mods.
5. if something breaks, its easily replaceable and it doesnt cost a fortune.
6. if you want a controller, you can just buy one, install drivers and youre ready to go.

cons
1. costs a bit more than a console if you want very good performance.
thats really all i got for pc

Console (new gen) pros
1. price. for the price you can get a system that has power and runs games smoothly
2. balance. theres no complaints. everyone runs on the same system and there are alot more fixes regarding to problems
3. ease of use

cons
1. game prices. the game prices are much more expenive than pc.
2. paid online services. this one explains for itself
3. if something breaks (hardware), you have to buy a new system.
4.worse performance than pc.

overall the pc is way better than consoles regarding to theese facts. there CANT be an argument where an console is more powerful than a pc. so my final answer is pc, pc, pc and finnaly... pc.

I'm sure the only games that you'll need it for are WB Games (possibly no longer, as of Steam refunds), Ubisoft, and Capcom. Two of the three just churn out ♥♥♥♥, anyway.

I think the main downfall of some PC games is the controls... but since many offer controller support, it's not much of a downfall (just buy a USB controller). Plus, I love point and clicks - those wouldn't make much sense on most consoles.
