steam game achievement lists arn't all there

Is it just me or does steam not show all achievements for games for everyone? Wondering if there is a setting for "limits" on how many can be displayed on screen or something to fix this. Anyone?

EDIT- Steam doesn't list all availiable achievements for any of my games. Only some of them. Is there a way to fix this or is this the norm?

could be intentional, some achievements are hidden

If a game has hidden/secret achievements, you won't be able to view them until you achieve them. The exception to this is looking at the global achievement stats, which will show the names and the images of the hidden/secret achievements, but without the description.

Kitten and Purple are right about the hidden achievements, took me a while to figure it out too.

thank you but that's not what I meant. For instance GTA 5. Many standard achievements did not show up on the incomplete section of the achievement list. Standard being single player beat this mission, etc sort. As well, Hatred, doesn't list all of the achievements. Like complete a level w/ all side quests.

Maybe it's just a few games and it's the developers fault but just wondering. I never really paid attention to achievements before but now I don't work and have alot of time and they give me somthing to do. So I never really noticed this until now. anyways.. thanks for your help, I'm betting it's just some games. As I write this I remember or think I remember Bioshock 3 has all listed.
